My car is Honda Accord 1991 DX in USA. My engine light just shows up when the car is running. Now my car can still run. I do not know why it happens.
Can you tell me what the problem is. I may be able to fix it by myself. Is it about oxygen sonsor or Fuel Injection system?
Thank you very much.

When your car recorded over 100,000 Miles it is possible that the engine lite show as you told me. It just set itself and stop showing after you shut the engine down then restart. It’s would be okay. But if the engine light still shows, then, you might have to do some electronic diagnosis on your car fuel and ignition system.
To view self-diagnosis information from the computer memory, you have to install a jumper wire onto the diagnostic terminal located in the upper coner under the dash. On most model, the said diagnostic connector is located under the passenger side glove box. To activate the code, bridge the terminals with a jumper wire or paper clip, turn the ignition key to On position and read the code from LED light on the connector or see the blinks of check engine lite.
The check engine lite will blink a longer blink for the first digit of a two digit number and then blink short for the second digit.
You should read this code and tell me again of what code you can read. Then I will be able to tell you where and what to look for troubles, if any.
By the way, if the system has more than one problem, the codes will be displayed in sequence then a pause and repeat.
Do not try to clear the code after you read. You should wait until I gave you the answer of what that code mean and you have done the repaired.
Thanes Seniwongs.
